O’Art Art Competition awaits young artists from all disciplines

Odeabank's art platform O'Art that has hosted practitioners of modern art since its foundation is again creating new opportunities for young artists with its Art Competition that is being organized for the second time in 2017. Applications can be made until June 29 to the competition where the 5 winning applicants will be given an achievement prize of 10 thousand TL each.

The Art Competition initiated in 2016 by Odeabank's art platform O'Art with the aim of supporting young talent will be organized for the 2nd time this year in 2017. The O'Art Art Competition organized with the aim of opening new doors for young artists who perceive, feel, criticize and create art by screening our experiences, is open to artists working in all disciplines. All artists under the age of 35 can submit artworks that have not been previously exhibited or published regardless of theme, technique or size. Odeabank Corporate Communications and Marketing Director Aslı Alıveren, Businessman and Collector Emin Hitay, Art Historian and Critic Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Aliçavuşoğlu, Artist and Academician at Yeditepe University Prof. Dr. Ferhat Özgür, Art Historian and Writer Prof. Dr. Kıymet Giray, İstanbul Art News General Publishing Director Yasemin Bay and O’Art Art Director Özlem Alıcı will comprise the jury of the competition. The applicants can submit their works on the odeabank.com.tr website until June 29. The artists that win the achievement awards will be announced at the exhibition opening on September 21, 2017. The selected artworks in the competition where 5 artists will be given an achievement award of 10 thousand TL each, will be exhibited at O'Art again in 2017 as in 2016.

Last year 750 artists working in various disciplines applied to the O'Art Art Competition, 26 of which were exhibited at O'Art. The works of Ayşegül Doğan, Evren Selçuk, Gözde Kırksekiz, Özgür Demirci and Sümer Sayın were each given 10 thousand TL achievement awards.​
