Demand Deposit

You may open a Demand Deposit Account in Turkish Lira or in a foreign currency to deposit funds and make all kinds of payments.

Advantages of a Demand Deposit Account
 

  • You won’t have to carry cash and cheques as you can make all your payments at your convenience.
  • You can inquire about your accounts over the phone or through our Internet Banking. You may request a statement of account via fax and make your payments along with other banking transactions.
  • You can also make an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), money transfers and place regular payment orders.


Where Can You Open a Demand Deposit Account?

If you haven’t opened an account yet, you can head to your nearest Odeabank branch. To open a new Demand Deposit Account, you may use Odeabank Internet Banking or Odeabank Phone Banking by calling 444 8 444.
 

Required Documents for Account Opening
 

Resident Natural Person Merchants, Tradesmen and Craftsmen
 

  • Banking Service Agreement (BSA)
  • Notarized Signature Statement (if any) or Signature Circulars/Statement or the document proving the approved specimen signatures to be obtained from the relevant chambers
  • Trade Registry Gazette or Tradesman Registry Certificate (related to Articles of Association or Field of Business)
  • For natural person merchants, tradesmen and craftsmen, the following additional documents are required:
    • Relevant Chamber Registry and Trade Registry
    • Sample of Identity including TR ID No (Identity card, driving license or passport)
  • For legal person merchants and legal persons (Unlimited-Limited Partnership-Joint-Limited Company and Cooperatives), the following documents are required
    • ID Card copy of the person/persons authorized to represent the company
    • License or authorization certificate of the person authorized to represent the company
    • Proof of identity of the shareholders with over 25% of the shares
  • In addition, the following documents are required for the accounts opened in the name of Cooperatives:
    • Notarized copy of the board resolution determining the person/persons authorized to represent the Cooperative and selected by the Board
    • Notarized copy of the resolution (if any) on opening an account at the Bank should be obtained,
    • Proof of identity of the shareholders with shares of over 25%

  • Tax Registration
  • Documents of Parent Company (Trade Registry Establishment Gazette - Signature Circulars - Tax Registration)
  • Copy of the Trade Registry Gazette related to the Branch Establishment
  • Resolution of Shareholders’ Assembly/Board related to Branch Opening (indicating trade name, full address, branch representatives and authorities) (notarized copy)
  • Branch’s operations document
  • Notarized signature circulars of the person/s authorized to represent the branch and ID Copy
  • License or authorization certificate of the person authorized to represent the branch
  • Proof of identity of the shareholders with shares of over 25%

Non-Resident Legal Entity Customers

  • Articles of Association of the Company
  • Trade Registry Gazette (where the Articles of Association were published/Establishment Gazette)
  • Tax Registration
  • Operations Document
  • Notarized Signature Circulars
  • ID Copy of the person/s authorized to represent the company/address confirmation document (Utility bill of the last three months)
  • License or authorization certificate of the person authorized to represent the company
  • Proof of identity of the shareholders with shares of over 25%
  • Notarized Turkish translation of the copies of documents issued abroad, which were approved by the relevant TR consulates or on which the ratification (apostille) was affixed by the authority of the countries part of the "Agreement on Lifting the Obligation of the Foreign Official Documents" (Translation required)

Liaison Offices of Non-Resident Legal Entities in Turkey
 

  • Banking Service Agreement (BSA)
  • Parent Company Documents (Company’s Articles of Association - Trade Registry Establishment Gazette - Signature Circulars - Operations Document )
  • Original permit granted by the Undersecretariat of Treasury - Foreign Capital Directorate related to the establishment of a liaison office.
  • Signature Circulars
  • Original authorization certificate granted to the person assigned to carry out the liaison office activities (approved by the Turkish consulate or bearing (apostille)
  • Proof of identity/address confirmation documents of the person/s in liaison offices authorized to represent (Utility bill of the last three months)
  • Proof of identity of the shareholders with shares of over 25%
  • Notarized Turkish translation of the copies of documents issued abroad, which were approved by the relevant TR consulates or on which the ratification (apostille) was affixed by the authority of the countries part of the “Agreement on Lifting the Obligation of the Foreign Official Documents” (Translation required)
