You can deposit your savings in Turkish Lira or foreign currency by opening a demand deposit account and easily make any payments through our bank.

What are the advantages?

  • With the Demand Deposit Account, you can make payments without the need for carrying cash.
  • You can access your account balance anytime and perform all your banking transactions through the Call Center, Internet Banking, Odea Application, and SMS Banking channels.

How to open a demand deposit account?

If you are not an Odeabank customer yet, you can become a cost-free and fast banking customer by applying for account opening through the internet or by visiting any Odeabank branch. To open a new Demand Deposit Account, you can utilize the Internet Branch, Odea application, or Contact Center (444 8 444) channels.

Documents Required for Account Opening

Turkish citizens as natural persons (resident or non-resident)

  • Banking Services Agreement.Residence Permit/Passport/Other documents approved by the Ministry of Finance.
  • Tax Identification Number.
  • Utility bills for the last three months (electricity, water, or phone bills).
  • For identity verification using a passport, a notarized translation of the passport is required.
  • Identity documents of citizens from European Council member countries, identity documents of TRNC citizens (in addition to these documents, presentation of the Entry-Exit Form for those traveling with Identity Card is mandatory), UNMIK-Travel Document/UNMIK Travel Certificate.

Foreign individuals residing abroad

  • Banking Services Agreement.
  • Tax identification number.
  • Residence Permit / Passport / Other documents approved by the Ministry of Finance.
  • Utility bills for the last three months (electricity, water, or telephone bills).
  • Identity documents for citizens of member countries of the Council of Europe, identification for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizens (along with the presentation of the Entry-Exit Form for Border Gates for those traveling with ID cards), UNMIK-Travel Document/UNMIK Travel Certificate.

Deposit Insurance

The principal amounts of savings deposit accounts opened in the name of individuals at our domestic branches, solely excluding commercial transactions other than check issuance, in Turkish lira, foreign currency, and precious metals, along with the total interest re-discounted on these accounts, are covered by insurance up to 400,000 Turkish liras per individual.

Deposits Not Covered by Insurance

  • Deposits and other accounts belonging to the dominant partners of the related credit institution, as well as their parents, spouses, and children under guardianship, except for checks issued exclusively.
  • Deposits and other accounts of the president and members of the board of directors or managers of the related credit institution, general manager and deputies, as well as their parents, spouses, and children under guardianship.
  • Deposits and other accounts related to the assets deriving from the crime regulated under Article 282 of Law No. 5237 dated 26/9/2004.
  • Deposits held in credit institutions established exclusively for offshore banking activities in Turkey.
  • Deposits opened in foreign branches of deposit banks.
  • Deposits held in credit institutions conducting offshore banking activities in Turkey and abroad.
  • Excessive interest paid on deposits above the maximum interest rates and deposit totals declared to the public by the bank and reported to the Central Bank as per the average interest rates of the top five deposit banks.
